A message from the Headmaster

It has been my pleasure to be Headmaster of the Froebelian
School since 1991. Both of my children spent eight very happy years at the
school and were well prepared for the opportunities ahead at secondary school.
It is the same experience, of enjoying learning, feeling secure and discovering
talents and abilities that I and my colleagues are dedicated to providing for
every child at the school.
I read History at St. John's College, Cambridge and
qualified as a teacher at St. Martin's College, Lancaster. After a spell working
for a financial institution, I began teaching at a nautical school on Anglesey.
Following that, I worked at GCHQ in Cheltenham for a short time and then joined
a preparatory school in Surrey. This experience convinced me that I was destined
to work with younger children and after gaining valuable experience I was
fortunate to be offered the opportunity to be Headmaster here at Froebelian.
The busy years have flown by and the school has developed
in many ways. However, there is a fundamental continuity of ethos and standards.
The Froebelian School is a caring community offering the best to every child and
encouraging the best from each child.
I hope you will find our website interesting and that it
will encourage you to find out more about us. The children, staff and I are
always delighted to welcome visitors. Here at Froebelian every day is an open
day!
With
best wishes
John
