Each year our school 'adopts' a charity and endeavours to
raise money for that charity through a variety of fundraising events. Over the
past fifteen years we have raised in excess of GBP £84,000 for many deserving
causes.

| 'I
have just spent two days at Browning House and it's just an incredible place.
Whilst I was there, I saw young mothers struggling with new babies - difficult
enough as a new and educated mother, but when you are unable to understand or
read the instructions on a bottle of formula...even more tricky. These people
were clearly very vulnerable and the children are at real risk. Rather than take
the children away from the parents, the unit works with them to help equip them
for the task. They told me that when they arrive there, the babies and children
don't smile back when you smile at them as they are not used to seeing people
smile and don't know how to respond. It was a real eye opener for me.' |
