Peaks Challenge 2008 |

| Form IV, members of staff, Mr Tranmer, Mr
Algar, Mr Walker and several parents recently undertook the 3 Peaks Challenge.
Prior to qualifying for the event the children had to undergo some stringent
fitness testing. Happily, all members of the class proved to be at the peak of
physical fitness and were included in the number! |
| All the children were sponsored and we
hope to have raised a significant sum for our school charity; The Children's
heart Surgery Fund. |
| Over the course of three days the group
climbed Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent, a total distance of 28km
with a total height gain of 1500m...no mean feat for ten and 11 year old
children, not to mention the cooking and housekeeping chores to be done on
return to the bunk-barn at the end of the day. |
